The Chicago-based foodservice consultants found that a vast majority of the same consumers believe that having calorie counts on restaurant menus helps them make more informed ordering choices and will have a beneficial overall impact on consumer health and nutrition. “A large and growing number of consumers appear to want the government to play a more active role in regulating health and nutrition in restaurants,” notes Bob Goldin, Executive Vice President of Technomic.
