Kelly Weikel, Director of Consumer Insights, joined the firm in 2007 and leads Technomic’s syndicated consumer research practice that keeps U.S. and Canadian foodservice professionals up to date on evolving trends in food and beverage categories, leading restaurant brands and sectors, dining occasions, consumer segments and more. She leads Technomic’s Consumer Trend Reports and Access platform, a series of more than 20 annual research studies as well as Consumer Brand Metrics, an ongoing brand tracking solution that monitors what more than 100,000 consumers each year have to say about leading restaurants. She also directs multi-sponsored, custom, ad-hoc and full-service quantitative and qualitative research solutions.
Kelly is a routinely featured presenter at Technomic’s Consumer Insights Planning Program, Foodservice Planning Program, Trends and Directions and Fast-Casual Trends and Directions conferences. She also regularly shares her insights about evolving consumer trends in press interviews and at external events including NAPICS, Pizza Expo, Mid-America Restaurant Expo, The Partnership for a Healthier America summit and the Culinary Institute of America’s reThink Food and Worlds of Flavor conferences.
Kelly earned her MBA at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management with a concentration in Marketing and Social Enterprise, and holds a Bachelor of Science with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Loyola University Chicago.
