Technomic reveals Canadian flavour opportunities and how to stay ahead of competition in new report

CHICAGO, November 25, 2019—Flavour trends influence every menu item an operator offers and the flavour lifecycle is ever-evolving. Most consumers want innovation at least occasionally, yet favourite dishes are also key to appeal to consumers.   • 65% of consumers like trying new flavours from time to time
  • 52% of consumers are likely to try new flavours at full-service restaurants
  • 59% of consumers define a unique flavour as one they have never had before
  • 47% of consumers prefer very spicy foods
